Local & Sustainable Tiles

Do you see a pattern? There are a couple of us here at Sphere undertaking some home renovations, so we keep running into these things that spark our interest, both professionally and personally! We recently posted on recycled glass tiles, now we find these kiln-fired ceramic tiles from Heath Ceramics. How do we choose?
Heath Ceramics utilizes stringent recycling and reuse programs, a commitment to remaining 100% made in their factory in Sausalito, CA, fair wage and employment practices as well as a low-energy consumption manufacturing process. Their gorgeous designs are meant to last a lifetime and proving just that - the original founder (Edith Heath) has design collections living on forever in museums such as MoMA. And - to save yourself a little green - visit their overstock tile store for 75% off savings!
