Fun on a Friday - Lighting

Here are some eye-catching contemporary lamps from Nichemodern that will be sure to turn heads. They are lit from within using a tubular bulb and the curved and colored glass shapes are all hand blown and fused for an artesian effect. Designed by Jeremy Pyles the lamps aim to capture his chic, yet magical style.

Biking and Blooming

With gas prices consistently on the rise, biking is gaining in popularity. But what if you could spread a little green while saving some green riding your bike to work? The Bloom is a device filled with biodegradable vegetable-based soaps that blows bubbles while you pedal. Inside those bubbles are tiny seeds to help pollinate cities and urban areas. Fun Friday Bathrooms

It's Friday, it's summertime and most people are sneaking out of the office early. Rather than bore those of you still sitting at your desk with statistics and heavy thinking, we thought these bright and lively bathrooms from Novello might just be a fun pick me up for a Friday. ICFF - Show in Review

Lots of pictures from ICFF today, so read on for a great show wrap up. We loved the large, dimensional circles on this piece from Herman Miller. It gives it so much texture to the piece, you just want to touch! 3Form, the manufacturers of eco-resin, had lots of nature inspired looks that could be used just about anywhere in the home.

duduc is always fun and this year was no exception - we love this playful child's bed with functional storage and fun chalkboard footboard.

In keeping with the fun and functional children's furniture theme - the Stylewood play table from Bloom fits together neatly (looks like a loaf of Wonderbread, if you ask me!) and when the chairs are pushed back a simple slide out storage tray is revealed.

And, last but not least... There were a lot of heavy metals mixing with natural woods at the show this year. We really enjoyed these little stools from Modern Dose that look like cut logs made of European oak wrapped in digitally printed steel with a shadowy motif playing out around the base.

Milan Furniture Fair - Greenhouse

Sometimes its the little things that attract our attention at a show! This Greenhouse waste bin by Jantze Brogard Asshoff is great for trash but could also make an obvious statement for recyclables. And, the fact that the little roof opens forming the bin's lid just adds a little fun to the function of tossing out the trash! Read More..

Just for Fun...

We love this coat rack by Bodhi - It's fun because it's a playful twist on modern design, it's green because it uses fallen tree branches for the actual stand and it's unique because no two are alike!
