A Source for Reclaimed Wood

We have discussed reclaimed woods not once, not twice, but a whole bunch of times. You can visit our most recent post on the subject for a recap on all the different ways to use reclaimed woods in the home. So, if we have convinced you to buy some, use some or you just want to know more, here is a great source to locate many types of the sustainable material. The company TerraMai is a one-stop source for reclaimed woods.

They utilize railway ties, warehouses, mills, barns, wine barrels, tanks and any other previously used wood that may be salvageable to provide unique reclaimed wood products. TerraMai only purchases structures slated for demolition, and whenever feasible, the woods they reclaim are re-milled as close to the source as possible. According to the company, they was the world's first reclaimed wood company to have all of its products FSC certified. The products include flooring, siding & paneling, decking, beams, lumber and even salvaged columns and doors - visit their site for more information.
