While perusing
Jetson Green today, I stumbled upon an article highlighting a new green project right here in our own backyard! Planned for a blighted area of Detroit near Wayne State university, the project called "Exceptionally Green Living on Rosa Parks" features containers stacked four high with windows and doors cut out in various locations. The architect, Steven Plum, has planned for 17 units starting at 100K, which is truly affordable for green living! Sustainable attributes include the reuse of shipping containers, insulating paint, high-efficiency water heaters, and energy-saving systems etc. You can read more about the planned project
here at The Power of Green Housing site.
