Plot 35 of the Ordos Project in Inner Mongolia, China is part reality part fantasy. As we all know, the flat landscape in Mongolia is known its amazing blue skies but harsh weather conditions. Architect Juan Pablo Maza of FRENTE Arquitectura came up with the idea of a large underground villa to take advantage of the ground’s natural insulation. But the highlight of the project here is the living area, which is suspended above the main ground amid a 'jungle' of tall beams. Breathtaking.
