HOUSE IN JAPAN BY SHUHEI ENDO ARCHITECTS

Slopes provide Shuhei Endo Architects with a chance to shine in the design and construction of this unusually skinny house, located in an old town (Shioya Tarumi-ku Kobe, Hyogo-Pref., Japan) at the foot of a hill. Making use of the natural stone retaining wall and the shape of the existing terrain, the architects added artificial ground and wrapped a structure roof cum wall in metal shingle board as part of the 'rooftecture'.
