Model Home Monday: A Clean Break

Here's a great way to tour entire neighborhoods of full-scale homes that promote clean development -- aesthetically and ecologically. In conjunction with Design Philadelphia and National Design Week 2008, Minima Gallery in Philadelphia is hosting a prefab exhibition titled A Clean Break from October 17-30.

A Clean Break will emerge as a pop-up neighborhood of modern and sustainable design with an emphasis on modular and prefabricated homes. The outdoor exhibition offers full-scale homes to tour, installations by architects, urban farming, transportation, environmentally-friendly furniture, public art and other high-design, low-waste products.
Featured architects include Alchemy Architects -- creators of the WeeHouse, Elemental out of Chile, Interface Studio Architects, Altius Architecture of the MiniHome, as well as Bike Share Philadelphia, Greensgrow-Philadelphia, and green furniture producer Iannone Design. via: Jetson Green
