Services at Retail

Retailers in this economy are looking for innovative ways to provide services that keep their consumers coming back to their stores. The Good Food Store in Missoula, Montana is billed as one of the state's natural wonders. They provide many services to their consumers, such as special events, a cooking school with hands on classes taught by local chefs and a unique recycling program. Customers can bring in their clean, empty glass jars (applesauce, pasta sauce, pickles - you name it) and the store will wash and sterilize the jars. The store then stores the sterilized jars on shelves next to the bulk food section (see shelves to the left of the bulk section photo) where customers can choose the size of jar that fits their needs to fill with bulk items such as salad dressings, fruit preserves and condiments. Services like this just might keep people coming back for more!
