Unpackaged

Style Will Save Us featured an interview with Catherine Conway and and her tiny foodie haven ‘Unpackaged’ in London, UK. We are always intrigued to read about a store that is attempting to eliminate any need for packaging.

Unpackaged gives you the option to bring your own containers to fill up at the bulk bins - and they make it cheaper if you do! They also offer reusable containers to fill up with their organic and fair trade whole foods, as well as eco-friendly cleaners and paper goods. While bulk shopping isn't a new concept and Catherine's store has been in business since 2006, it's worth mentioning again because sometimes green packaging isn't about what recycled materials you use - it's about what materials you DON'T use at all. Besides, the sleek black and white interior design and shelves lined with bright apothecary jars update the retail concept of the dusty old bulk bin at the local supermarket!
