I scored that faded yellow and white armchair on eBay for $71 in May 2007. Will eventually recover it in some bright happy fabric and paint those clunky legs black. The rocking horse is at a weird angle but only space for it right now. I'm looking for a larger play kitchen since she's outgrown that one. Or replace it with a toy vanity.
I love how my lamp is complemented by the red Ikea Lampan. I now keep her change-table supplies and medication in the Ikea sonne orange cabinet which used to be my bedside table! One day I'd like to paint it a warm bright red.
That off-white gloss chest of drawers is an eBay grab 2 days ago for only $207! I can now store bub's clothes without it spilling out onto the floor! I placed my old stereo next to some gleefully collected old Enid Blyton books which were the things of dreams for me growing up. Along with my old Paddington Bear book, Beatrix Potter and Brambly Hedge treasures. I have filled a Beatrix Potter mug with a bag of rice for a quirky bookend.
Whaddaya think!? It's not perfect, but for now, I'm happy. I gotta get some simple white shelving for more books on the floor. I'd love to get her a large dollshouse too... but that can wait :)
