New Blog Feature! Detroit Arts & Culture

As a business located in the Detroit metropolitan area, we are adding a new feature to our blog on a regular basis - Detroit Arts & Culture. Detroit is well-known for the automotive industry and it's established Motown music culture, but a little known fact outside of our area is the emerging and the established artist community thriving (yes, thriving!) in the downtown and surrounding areas.
In addition to our regular posts on the latest consumer and design trends, we plan to feature local artists, interviews, gallery and museum openings, restaurants, parks and unique music and art venues across the Detroit area.

This weekend we visited the Detroit Artists Market (DAM) in downtown Detroit to view the Summer Ceramics Show featuring more than 75 of Detroit's best ceramic artists in a special summer market sale. The DAM is celebrating 75 years of supporting Detroit artists through exhibitions, sales, education and related programs. Their gallery on Woodward Ave. hosts regular exhibition openings, film screenings, music, dance and fashion shows. Today we are posting a few great photos of their gallery and the ceramic show and throughout the next week we will feature some very innovative individual artists and their work.
