Homes Designs: The Power of Co-Existence

The Meatpacking District in NYC has evolved into a neighborhood that truly allows opposites to co-exist. Not only can you find high-end fashion sold next to stores stocking wholesale meats, but the dining and cafe scene has become a popular destination activity for those looking to get away from the 5th avenue style shopping and dining experience.

So popular in fact, that lines at the Bodum Cafe quickly form around the "bar" to enjoy a freshly prepared breakfast, a hot tea, exotic coffee or sandwich made and served in their uniquely designed product. After experiencing Bodum's brand through delicious food, it's easy to see how diners quickly become shoppers leaving with bags of Bodum's product that claim to "give bad design up for good". We visited Bodum last week and enjoyed a cup of tea in a mug telling us their brand is "Design That Works" for over 60 years.
