Dresser makeover suggestions?

I got a gift from the husband 4 years ago (ok I bugged). Was what I wanted in the style I wanted. Four years ago. Was because Pottery Barn wouldn't consider shipping this to me for $50. And I loved it. For $350 that should have cost $3000, you can't complain! :)

Now, it's four years past. I am WAY past this look. It's the only thing left in my place that is country-style-ish. Been trying for 2 months to flog it on eBay but it's not making it past the silent "watchers".



So now I have been considering instead of selling it, change it to what I'd like. So taking some colours from Maine Cottage as inspiration, what do you think of this colour (interior and exterior) to makeover my dresser? Toyed with having a lighter/different shade interior too.


Not that I will have the time nor space to paint this myself! Yellowpages here I come. Wonder if it will cost heaps to get rid of those middle-of-glass-bits...
