Not only is the Builders Show stateside, but a quick flight Orlando, which makes this show one of my personal favorites. This year the show included 3 off-site home tours, the Show Village and the exhibits at the convention center.
Convention Center:
Unique colors and finishes were key for exhibitors looking to grab your attention - Viking expanded their color offerings to include ranges of greens, purples and blues as well as adding a bright gold finish to handles and hardware accents.
Plastpro's line of entry doors were eye-catching in shades of blue, green and red.
Appliances continued to branch away from standard white and stainless with colors vamping it up in lipstick reds and denim blue at Haier.
New American Home:
The New American Home 2007 is located in the Eola Heights area of downtown Orlando. Centered in a newly recovering urban area with a lake, park and family friendly restaurants and activities, the home was designed to reflect it's urban surroundings as well as being environmentally friendly and family-centric.
The home features a third floor living, dining, kitchen and office area with uniquely stained concrete walls opening up to a living green patio surrounded by a self watering rooftop garden.
The Insync Home 2007 in Baldwin Park was built incorporating thoughtful design with smart technology to create an ideal of synchronized living. Spanish Eclectic architecture, attention to the small details, such as leather hand rails and floors, hand painted touches and inlayed flooring medallions, as well as smart electronic controls throughout the house make this home a retreat to escape to at the end of the day.
