In keeping with our "Green" theme today we thought the new GE Ecomagination Homebuilder Program - a blueprint for building green homes - deserved some attention. South Carolina's Withers Preserve Community will be the first to build under this program which partners GE and MASCO Contractor Services Environments for Living division together to help residential developers and builders design homes that are more efficient in their energy consumption than industry accepted new homes. The Withers Preserve Community - opening in 2008 - will feature a master planned 3790 acre site with an urban downtown, access to beaches, golf and family activites in a green environment.
