In celebration of the 65th anniversary of Little Golden Books, Random House has partnered with SharedBook - an online reverse publishing provider where consumers create and publish their own books, memory albums and cookbooks. Little Golden Books changed publishing history when they launched in 1942 - selling for only 25 cents each - making books available for all children, not just the privileged few. And... they are doing it again. Random House will be offering the 12 original Little Golden Books published from 1942 as personalized "SharedBooks". You can customized the book with dedications, personal photos and text. The best selling children's book of all time, "The Pokey Little Puppy", with sales of over 16 million copies to date, will be the first release.
