hannah's first birthday

my baby's turned one! she doesn't really look like a baby anymore!! she's growing too fast!! we were still overseas during her birthday so my sister lovingly threw a small bash for her. thanks addie!

my sister made shoo-fly pie, a local favourite in Lancaster. i fell in love with the pie! i think it's next to my bread and butter pudding! hehe I think hers beats the famous Shady Maple Smorgasboard's version hands down. sweet but not sickly sweet.


my sister's roommate made Hannah's birthday cake. a simple but decadent chocolate cake with Barney icing!


Hannah's favourite toy is a Fisher-Price puppy. Given by Addie's workmate. Thanks, C!


On a side note, whilst rethinking Hannah's room, I found this GORGEOUS quilt created by the Amish (we were in Amish central!). It's the floral one that is colourful with white background. It was named "Tree of Life" and it cost $750 :( And way too bulky to fit into our luggage even if it was $75.00. But would have been perfect.
