For love of birds

I've had a longtime love affair with birds. Starting from I guess watching sparrows flit around at school when I was nine during history classes. I lovelovelove sparrows. A month before Hannah was conceived when we were holidaying in Malaysia, Andrew and I gaped at a hummingbird buzzing around my uncle's garden. Always wanted to see one. I didn't know they were tiny! We thought it was a bee!!!\

While in Niagara Falls this past weekend, I couldn't help but pick up a brass shelf-sitter bird for $5 at The Copper Leaf. mmmm. I wish things in Australia were as affordable as we've found shopping to be in Canada (minus the bloody taxes).
