Green Home Tour

The 700 Palms residence in Venice, CA designed by architect Steven Ehrlich is a model in green home building practice utilizing raw industrial materials with a polished modern aesthetic. Giant sliding doors allow ocean breezes to cool the home instead of using central air. The night radiant concrete flooring also helps to regulate temperatures while the solar shades keep the home cool during the day. Flexible spaces dissolve the barriers between indoors and out with an open floor plan leaving the residents with a clear view of the entire home and outdoor living.
